Day of The Dead

Join us for Día de los Muertos at Dudley Park Cemetery

On Sunday 1 November, Dudley Park Cemetery is teaming up with the Latin American Society of South Australia to bring you a taste of one of Latin America's most beautiful traditions — Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead).

At the heart of the day is the Ofrenda, a beautifully decorated shrine where you're invited to place a photo of a loved one who has passed. The Latin American Society will be on hand to share the history behind the Ofrenda and what it means to honour and remember those who came before us.

There's plenty to see, taste and try:

  • Calavera face painting by Love Birdy — get your sugar skull design done on the day
  • Masa Bakery selling traditional Latin American breads, including Pan de Muerto, the iconic Mexican Day of the Dead bread
  • Complimentary hot drinks, courtesy of Dudley Park Cemetery

Whether you're curious about the culture, want to bring a photo of someone you miss, or simply love a good sugar skull — everyone is welcome.

Sunday 1 November | 10am–2pm | Dudley Park Cemetery
